Swede working for the Swedish Consulate and SACC in the greatest town - Seattle, WA

4th of July weekend

It’s not like I’m well rested after a four day weekend.

Friday night started out slow, we went to Linda’s Tavern to meet up with some friends. So happy to hear that Marcus was in town and he had time to meet up J. And another crazy story. Ophelia had a coworker from her time in Lake Tahoe, now working in Whistler. He had come down for the weekend to Seattle, so he met up with us during the night. And of course he works with Carin back up in Whistler. SMALL world.

So happy to see Marcus again!
It's a small world, Ophelia's and Carin's friend James

Saturday me and Ophelia headed north to the outlet mall for some shopping, not too bad. During the evening I had a good-bye dinner with Johan and Sofie who was going back home the next day. So happy to be able to spend some time with them while they were here. Another crazy story, the building they’re moving into in Stockholm, is owned by my boss here in the US. Small world again, yas?

Sunday was a really nice day. Went to explore the neighborhood, went to farmer’s market and downtown for some more shopping. Later on we pre-gamed at Ophelia’s and Ali’s place to end up celebrating July 3rd on Cap Hill.

Monday morning and 4th of July. We started with a true American brunch downtown. In the afternoon we went to Gasworks Park to watch the fireworks. And it was way better than excepted. Didn’t think of it highly since I was disappointed by New Year’s Eve fireworks at Space Needle, but this one was huge and synchronized with sound. And the intro with a helicopter flying in with the flag was just amazing. ‘Murica.

And here we are now, not so happy 5th of July at work, counting the hours to be back at my apartment.
